Quiet Scan privacy policy

Effective 5 October 2026 ยท App package com.psb.scanner

Quiet Scan is an offline Android app that scans paper documents with your phone camera and saves them as PDF files. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: it doesn't collect, send or share any of it.

Information the app collects

None. Quiet Scan has no account, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking code. The app doesn't request the Android Internet permission, so it can't send anything from your device. Page detection, cropping, filters and PDF creation all run on your phone.

Information stored on your device

To work, the app stores the following only in its private storage on your phone:

When a PDF has been saved, the page images it was made from are deleted. The developer never receives any of this data. It's excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, and it's deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Files in the app are protected by Android's app sandbox; the app doesn't add its own password or encryption.

Permissions

Images to import are chosen with the Android system photo picker. The app can't see your gallery or files unless you pick them there.

Sharing

Quiet Scan doesn't share data with anyone. When you tap Share, the PDF is handed to the app you choose. When you tap Save a copy, the PDF is written to the place you choose. Those apps and storage providers handle the copy under their own policies, and deleting a document in Quiet Scan doesn't remove copies you've shared or saved elsewhere.

The Privacy policy, Rate on Google Play and Share this app links in Settings open your browser, Google Play or another app that you choose. Quiet Scan itself doesn't go online.

Children

Quiet Scan isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
